So I went on a road trip with two of my friends... Melanie and Ashley! Things were going great. We left on Thursday morning. We thought we were going to be on time.. but three girls are never really on time! It is funny! So we drove through Wyoming. We were half way to Utah when Melanie got a call from her mom. We found out that Mels mom has a brain tumor, and is having surgery on it on Monday. It was very shocking news, and Melanie was just devastated. I don't blame her. I would be just a wreck. So we decided to drive to Utah instead of turning around. If anything happened Mel would just fly home and Ashley and I would drive back. As the day went on we found out more details on the situation. When we got to Utah we weren't sure of what was going on... it took the entire day and the next morning to solidify plans. We ended up staying in Utah until Sunday. We drove back on Sunday instead of Monday as planned. We also took Lisa, Melanies sister back home with us. We did have some fun this weekend despite the sadness. It was still there hanging over us, but I feel like we were able to cheer Mel up a little bit. On Friday we slept in pretty late... Actually we woke up surprisingly early for how tired we were. But we ended up staying in bed talking for the majority of the morning. It was glorious! I love sleep... and I definitely need to catch up on it all the time! Haha So we got ready for our day, and left Ashley's aunts house and picked up a friend in Provo to take him to the airport. (We were staying in Lehi by the way.) We took him to the Salt Lake Airport and then went to the Gateway Mall. I love that mall, it is so nice and just fun. It was pretty cold so that was kind of a pain to walk around outside. But we went to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. It was just great. We got the bill, and I was going to get my wallet to pay, and I realized that I left my credit card at Ashley's aunts house. I was bummed because that was our big shopping day, and I didn't get to buy anything! I was pretty upset at myself for that. Then I thought about it, and wondered if it was meant to be... haha as silly as that sounds. But I am not doing so great in the money department right now, so that may have been a blessing in disguise? Maybe? haha who knows! I look at it that way... So they shopped, I window shopped. It was a good time none the less.
After the mall we went to Temple Square and took pictures in front of the temple. That is really what I wanted to do this weekend. We walked around taking pictures, and we even talked to some Sister Missionaries. They took us in the Visitors Center to listen to the little thing on Christ... You know up at the top with the statue of Jesus. We took a picture in front of the statue. I loved seeing that again. That is probably my favorite thing in the Visitors Center. Actually all the pictures are so wonderful. I just love learning about Christs' life. It is so amazing, and so uplifting. We talked to the Sisters for a bit, then left. So we went back down to Provo to have dinner with Mels friend Blake. We went to Olive Garden, and had a great time. We were going to go see Alice in Wonderland, but it was all sold out. So we watched a movie at Ashleys brothers apartment. That was good until I got sick to my stomach and we had to leave. (The whole trip we were pretty much all sick.... We are always sick. It sucks) But we went home and slept.
On Saturday morning we woke up pretty early because we went with Lisa and Melanie's aunts restaurant. She is from Thailand and opened a Thai restaurant called Simply Thai. Apparently it has the best curry in the state. I don't really like curry, so I didn't try it. Ashley had it and said it was great! So we ate there with Grandpa Chidester, and it was great meeting him. So little detail about the trip.... every time we would drive on the freeway I was obsessed with pointing out the Temples. There were like four that I would point out every time! I am being totally serious... everytime I saw a Temple I would just yell, "LOOK TEMPLE!!!!!" It was great!.... On the way to the Thai restaurant, which was in Sandy, I said that we should tour the Temples in the Valley. And we did just that!!! It was so amazing! We went to the Jordan River Temple first, then the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, then the Draper Temple, then the Mount Timpanogos Temple. We were going to go to the Provo Temple but decided that it is prettiest at night, and we saw it a couple times already. So we just admired from a distance! I will tell you what, seeing that many temples in a day was just so breath taking! I love the Temple and they were all so gorgeous. And even though we were just taking pictures of them, there was a Spirit with us that was so wonderful. I loved it! We also got to see some of the Valley while we were looking at the Temples. The mountains are so pretty in Utah! I just love the landscape! It was a fun drive everywhere.
So after we were done with our tour we were just so exhausted that we needed a nap. We probably slept for like three hours! After our beauty rest we got ready to go out for the night! We went to a Non Alcoholic bar in Provo called Spark. It was really fun, and we got to hang out in a cool atmosphere! It was silly but we had fun. After that we went and watched a movie at our friend Blakes apartment and stayed there for a while. Then we went and stayed at Lisa's house and just passed out! We left Sunday morning for home, and made it back in one piece! It was a good trip overall! We had fun considering the circumstances! I would definitely say that after that trip I like Utah a little more! Crazy I know! haha
Pictures to come... as soon as I figure out how to do it! Haha

Dear Life...
So I saw someone do this, and I thought hey why not write some letters to some things in my life... So here it goes...
Dear eyes,
Please stop crying about everything. You are making my nose drip and get really dry. I do not appreciate that.
Love,
Sensitive cry baby
Dear Mom,
Please don't leave me here...
Love,
Your little baby
Dear Stomach,
Please stop making me feel like I am going to throw up.
Love,
Girl who is constantly sick
Dear Friends,
Please don't be offended if I pull into a hole for the next couple months.
Love,
Tired of life
Dear Kennedy,
Please be happy in your life and find out what you want to do. Get yourself together and start your life.
Love,
Girl who wants to start her life....
Well there are my letters for today. If you couldn't tell I am having a break down at the moment. Sorry to complain on here, but hey who reads this anyway...
Love,
Kennedy

Crazy happenings!
So I was watching Cameron play basketball the other night, and it was in the ghetto... near colfax haha. But I was sitting there and there were these girls that walked in and sat next to me. One of the girls was talking on the phone to, who I am guessing, was her boyfriend. At first she was talking about how they were making out. Then she started getting quieter... but really she was being super freaking loud, and she was turned towards me which was super awkward. So then she started to explain this one time they were doing it.... gosh how awkward was that. She was going into detail about her sexual life. I really dont need to hear that. It was just super crazy... But the rest of the game was fairly normal. That is my crazy story of the week!

Boy, has it been a while!
So I haven't written a post in so long! Things have been kind of crazy for me lately. Here are some of the things I have been doing...
-Had Christmas with the family, Uncle B was here
-Moved back home from Greeley
-Bummed around for a bit, enjoyed my winter break
-House sat with Melanie (super fun!)
-Played volleyball a lot
-Met a cute boy
-Winter break ended and it was time for me to buckle down and get a job
-Started working at UC Denver again full time
-Taking an online class just so I could work there again
-Trying to have a life while working full time
-Started dating that cute boy... His name is Cameron by the way
-Just having fun, living life!!!
I guess that doesn't seem too busy, but to me these past two months have been super hectic! Maybe it is just me who makes things hectic. Haha But I have been anticipating a couple of things! My aunt is having another baby. Just 1 this time! She already has triplets. The sweet little boy is born next Thursday, March 4th! I thought I was going to be going to Cali to help out with the little ones, but turns out I am not. That was a bummer for me. But I am going to Utah next week for a couple days, and I am so excited about that! I get two go with two of my favorite people, Melanie and Ashley. We are driving to Utah and we are going to have a great time! I just need to get away for a bit and this is the perfect opportunity to do it. It isn't going to be too expensive because driving there we only fill up on gas once, which is crazy. We are also staying with Mels family, so no hotels! But I do expect to do some awesome shopping while I am there... I haven't done that in a while. But then Mel and I are planning on going to California this summer! So that should be fun... and of course we will both come back with wicked tans! You know us.... we just love the sun! And it will be really great to see the babes! haha My cousins that is.
Well that is what has been going on with me lately! I am trying to move out of my house too. That should happen this summer! I am sleeping on the couch... so I would say a change is needed! Haha But I will try and update as much as possible... I will definitely have pictures up in the near future! Kisses!

I'm Not That Girl
Hands touch, eyes meet
Sudden silence, sudden heat
Hearts leap in a giddy whirl
He could be that boy
But I'm not that girl:
Don't dream too far
Don't lose sight of who you are
Don't remember that rush of joy
He could be that boy
I'm not that girl
Ev'ry so often we long to steal
To the land of what-might-have-been
But that doesn't soften the ache we feel
When reality sets back in
Blithe smile, lithe limb
She who's winsome, she wins him
Gold hair with a gentle curl
That's the girl he chose
And Heaven knows
I'm not that girl:
Don't wish, don't start
Wishing only wounds the heart
I wasn't born for the rose and the pearl
There's a girl I know
He loves her so
I'm not that girl
Wicked
Sudden silence, sudden heat
Hearts leap in a giddy whirl
He could be that boy
But I'm not that girl:
Don't dream too far
Don't lose sight of who you are
Don't remember that rush of joy

Addicted to Austen
So recently I have been watching all these Jane Austen movies! They are just soooo amazing! What a world it was back then! So crazy! I have watched Mansfield Park, Sense and Sensibility, and Pride and Prejudice recently. I just need to watch Emma, and I am sure there are other ones! I really want to read all of these books. I am just not sure if I will be able to hold out on reading them. Haha
Anyway I have been home for the past two days, and I just love it! I am soooo happy here! And I think I just need a change of scenery to be happy! I think I am going to move. I haven't hashed out all the details yet on what I am going to do. All I know is that I just HAVE to get out of the place where I have been through soooooooo much! I think I have seriously been depressed. I am tired of putting forth the effort to be noticed when I know I clearly am NOT! But this blog is not to complain or whine about things. I am just simply letting you, the reader, in my mind on why I am making a very big decision in my life. Anywho... I am just happy at home, and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next couple of months! Love love love love love!

Self Worth
So tonight at my institute we had this spa night for all the girls. Before we started pampering ourselves we had to sit through this lesson. The lesson was about inner beauty. I originally didn't want to go to "spa night" because I have been feeling anti social, if you can believe that. I ended up going and let me tell you, I am glad that I did. I really needed to hear the lesson that was given. It was like it was directed straight towards me! I love how every once in a while there are those words that you just need to hear, and someone gives a lesson, and you are like, "can you read my mind... did you write that just for me?" Crazy, I know! This was one of those times. The wonderful person giving the lesson was talking about being women, and the specific things our Heavenly Father gave us as women. It was very sweet and loving and compassionate. It made me think that ok... I can be mad...(like I so clearly pointed out in my last blog)... but as a Daughter of God, and a caring compassionate woman, I can choose to be loving. I actually felt myself torn between wanting to be mad, and knowing I don't have to be, and feeling love. Just the pure love that our Savior has taught us to have. It was an incredible break through, I thought, on my attitude. Maybe I knew what I had to do, but I just didn't want to do it. So this actually was a blessing for me. It wasn't a slap in the face as so many break throughs are. It was a gentle reminder of who I am and how I should be acting. When we were talking about the qualities that women have I couldn't help but think of my wonderful mom! It made me miss her so much. She is so loving and can heal my heart when it is broken, and ultimately do anything she wants. She is super mom! Haha I guess this was a good thing for me to hear. Now all I need to do is show people that I can be happy, and that things are going to get better. I think maybe with the right attitude all this crap that I am going through will be manageable. Just maybe.... Haha Anyway, I am very thankful for my wonderful friends. I only have a couple... haha but at least I have some! So to my friends, thank you for putting up with me when I was acting like The Grinch! I promise I will try and pull myself out of it! Love you!
